How often have you traveled around the United States and noticed a place that looked familiar, like it was in a movie? The top movies set in each state are listed below. Go through the list to see how many you can identify.

Taxi Driver, New York

Martin Scorsese's film was awarded the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival in 1976. Vietnam War veteran Travis Bickle drives his lonely taxi through the night streets of an endless city, and a dark panorama of human sins unfolds before him. As an Old Testament prophet, he hopes that one day the heavens will send saving rain to the earth, which will cleanse New York of centuries-old mud.

No, we haven't forgotten about film Ghostbusters. Or Dog Day Afternoon by Sidney Lumet. We didn't even see the enormous ape in King Kong. There are just so many fantastic films set in New York, like the 1989 romantic comedy When Harry Met Sally with Meg Ryan and Billy Crystal, the terrifying psychological thriller American Psycho, and John Travolta's huge dance masterpiece Saturday Night Fever.
